Seeking strong candidate with bookkeeping and administrative support experience to fill an open position in our Long Beach, MS office. Ideal candidate will have working experience in QuickBooks and experience in the construction industry.
The person filling this position will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records by recording transactions related to projects, including invoices, expenses, payroll, and materials, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, generating detailed financial reports, and often working closely with project managers to track project costs and profitability using construction accounting software. This position includes a wide range of duties and responsibilities, so candidate should be flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Record all financial transactions for the business
- Full-cycle accounts payable
- Accounts receivable
- Maintaining accuracy of general ledger and financial statements
- Job costing
- Sales Tax reporting
- Bank and credit card account(s) reconciliations
- General Liability and Workers Comp Audits
- Processing employee timesheets – Quickbooks payroll
- Business licensing requirements and renewals
Requirements:
- 5+ years bookkeeping and QuickBooks experience is REQUIRED
- Strong in Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, Outlook
- Working experience with construction industry software (e.g., ProCore, Buildertrend)
- Dependable and Trustworthy, Confidentiality
- 3+ years of administrative and/or bookkeeping support in construction related industry
- Experience and knowledge with AIA documents is required
- Possess desire and initiative to excel and perform independently
- Must enjoy working in a small team environment
- Organization, neatness and proficiency is a must
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and achieve deadlines under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to take direction, learn and problem solve well
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients and vendors.
